		<description>I agree. I&#039;ve seen that video of Clay Shirky and it is the reason I blogged the video above. 

I had re-watched the Clay Shirky video just a couple days ago and I was going to write something and then I came across this video that seemed to nail everything I wanted to say that the Clay Shirky video was explaining. Still I hope people watch that video by Clay Shirky that Jeremy linked, its an interesting watch and shows examples of how social media can and has made history.</description>

		<description>It all depends on how you define social media.  Twitter, MySpace and Facebook may all come and go, but I think the idea of Social Media will sustain.  In my mind social media is an advancement on the same order as the printing press, telephone, radio, TV, etc... Each of those was a huge leap forward not only in terms of technology, but in the fundamental way that people communicate.  &quot;Social Media&quot; is revolutionary because it is decentralized.  Anyone can send a message out to thousands of other people and all of those people can respond right back.  That is something that has never been possible before.  Mass communication (books, radio, TV) used to be a one way conversation.</description>
