Quakecon mini updates for 2008

Read each day from the bottom up. So for Date 7-30-08 the first update of that day would be “Went to see my …” and the second would “Got @jeremysanchez to try…”.

If you are wondering what the @name things are in the updates, they are replies to people I have on my friends list on twitter. [What is twitter? Click me.]  I had my site pull my twitter updates that I was posting from my phone and then my site would make a post. The links at the end of some updates are pictures, so check those out.

Date 7-30-08

• Off to bed, heading to Quakecon tomorrow. #
• This cloud cover is going to make loading the car for Quakecon less like im doing it in hell. #
• Doing some research about streaming live from Quakecon and it seems I’d need 300 kbps which I doubt I will have consistently. So its a no go. #

• Went to see my Chiropractor to get a fix before I leave to go to Dallas. He told me to put biofreeze on my neck. It burns like hell. #

Date 7-31-08

• Just now heading out towards Dallas…….women. #

• Annoying cops are making the radar detector go off like crazy. #
• Huge spider where we stopped to get gas. I’ve never seen a spider go wrap a bug in webbing until now. http://snipurl.com/380e0 #

• We are driving through Denton. Driving at night is nice because there is little traffic. #
• We just got here. Looking for parking then checking in. #

• Numerous people in the BYOC keep making the chewbacca sound. #

• Just tried a vest that gives you feedback on your vest where you are shot. Pretty cool. #
• Some gaming computer company has a laptop on display playing Call of Duty 4 with sucky frames per second. Like in the 20s. Haha #

• Just tried the Bawls Geek Beer (Root Beer Energy Drink) and it taste like A&W. It was also free courtesy of the creators of FRAG the movie. #

Date 8-2-08

• Off to make a trip to Wal-mart. #
• No pictures uploaded tonight but I did take a lot more today. The internet connection here in the BYOC isn’t that great for uploading pics. #
• My feet are so tired. So much walking and standing waiting for events to start. Must sleep. #
• Waiting in the sign up line for a call if duty 4 tournament. But I think the sign ups might be full before it gets to me. #

• Watching the Quakecon etqw finals. #
• Free keg beer at the quakecon finals is always a highlight. #
• Wow the guitar hero 3 finals stole the show out of all the final events at Quakecon. So awesme. #
