Visit to Pops

Sarah, Jennifer, Jeremy and I recently drove out to Arcadia, Oklahoma, just a few minutes outside of Edmond, to check out Pops on the historic Route 66. Pops website says it is a new landmark on the historic route 66 and an “ultra-modern gas station, restaurant, shake shop, gift shop, convenience store and event venue.”

Pop decorations

When we arrived the parking lot was already pretty full and we were welcomed by a 66-foot tall soda pop in the entrance. Walking in the place you see thousands of different types of soda pop lining the windows that are illuminated by the inside lights and sun reflecting on the bottles. Pops has 500 plus different types of soda and 43 varieties of root beer and 50 flavors of cream soda. Being a fan of both root beer and cream soda I was in heaven, even more so when I found out they had Bawls.

Pops also has a restaurant inside that we had a bite to eat at and the food was pretty good. I’d like to go back and try their burgers sometime though because they say their shakes and burgers are there second signature after their first, which is the 500 plus different types and flavors of pop. It was a good time and a must see sight so if you haven’t been I would definitely recommend hitting it up sometime.
