Last night I remembered the Halo 3 release was coming tonight and figured I’d drive around and take some pictures of the people waiting outside stores for the Halo 3 release at 12:01am. I got out of my night class and drove by a gamestop and snapped a few picture as I drove by of the people waiting. Gamestop made an even out of it and had TV’s and Speakers up when I drove by but nothing was playing at the time. People went all out and had tents and grills while there were in the line too.
After taking those pictures I came home and called around to see if there was any stores that had any copies of Halo 3 that weren’t spoken for and found out that a local Wal-Mart had “lots of copies” according to the lady I spoke to over the phone at Wal-Mart.
The lady also told me that they were giving out numbers to people that were there to guarantee copies. My brothers wife was at that Wal-Mart at the time and he called her up and asked if she would see if she could get a number and sure enough she was able to, # 20.
So I waited until about 11:30 and headed to Wal-Mart with my number and ended up only waiting in line for about 20 minutes compared to some people that got to Wal-Mart at 7pm!
