A movie about Facebook. I’m being totally serious.
When I first saw headlines on my daily news sites about a Facebook movie I thought ‘Oh some fan created a cheesy video about Facebook.’ I ignored the headlines for a few days until I kept seeming them and then decided that maybe I should check this out.
I was shocked to see that a real movie about Facebook was/is being made. I was even more shocked to see Aaron Sorkin’s name attached to the movie. I’m a fan of Aaron Sorkin’s writing so maybe, just maybe this movie will be good.
I’ve seen the trailer a few times over the weeks since it’s launched and I have to say each time I see it grows on me a little bit more. I’m curious what you all think about the movie.
From TheSocialNetwork-Movie.com:
From director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin comes The Social Network, a film that proves you don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies. The film is produced by Scott Rudin, Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, and Ceán Chaffin and based on the book “The Accidental Billionaires” by Ben Mezrich.
The success of Old Spice’s social media campaign
You’ve surely seen those awesomely weird Old Spice commercials, well here is an interesting look behind the project.
Fortnight Lingerie teaches us how to perform CPR
If someone asked me if I knew CPR I’d have to say no but after watching this video I’d still have to say no. I was too distracted, I guess I need to watch this a few more times.

The Secret Powers of Time
In this video a professor named, Philip Zimbardo talks about the secret powers of time. The lecture is creatively illustrated on a dry erase board as Zimbardo explains the different perspectives of time and how they affect our lives. I’d like to know what you all think about this, more specifically the part where he talks about how the traditional analog class room is boring and not working for the new generation.
“Many of life’s puzzles can be solved by simply understanding our own time perspective . . .”
No arms, no legs but lots of heart.
I would find it hard to believe that anyone could watch this clip and not have something in you change for the better.
Changes to the site
There were a few small changes to the site. You get a cookie if you can figure out 2 of them.
Thinking outside the box
Jesse Schell gave this presentation at Dice2010 about “Designing Outside the Box” where he talks about how some of the most unexpected gaming success have showed how we have a hunger to get to anything that is real and what the future might possibly look like in the world.
“…we live in a bubble of fake bullshit and we have this hunger to get to anything that is real…”
I knew that Colonel Sanders was a partier!
You are pre-warned this video is NSFW.
I pretty much don’t agree with anything in this video but from a comedy stand point it is kind of funny but wrong at the same time. I think that might be what makes it funny?
The video below is a music video for a song called Rad Anthem by Rad Omen and in the video you will see what happens when Colonel Sanders, Jack In The Box, Burger King, Ronald McDonald and Wendy hit the town.
How have these guys not been sued yet?
